My arrival at the most valued airstrip (detailed story of my adventure)

Recommended Posts

So, i recently checked out the map of the game online ( VIA - http://dayzdb.com/map#4.061.128 ) and i noticed there was a pretty valuable airstrip towards the north center of the map. Without further ado, I spawned around the Balota airstrip. I quickly scavenged what i could from the low priority military hangers and ended up finding a scoped out aks-74. I exited the hangars and headed straight up towards Koslovka. This run took about 10 minutes through the tree's and wilderness... When I arrived there i crawled through the outter edges of the town and proceeded towards the connecting highway by Pulkovo. After crossing that road i began upwards once again threw the trees and random wilderness till i hit Pogorevka. Now, instead of going straight up, i decided to dodge Rogovo by taking the white path towards the north west. I continued following this path untill it split off by the black dashed line. I then continued through the grass north... I was slowly becoming thirsty..... When all hope was lost on getting drinks i found a little small house in the middle of the field by the 300 elevation mark. I found 2 soda's and continued north past Veresnik. I soon hit the yellow highway split off and followed it up to the airstrip. this trip took me a good hour and 5 minutes. When i got there this is what happened.

The arrival, woohoo!

Scoping out some high priority barracks and medium priority houses.

Found a silenced m4 in the high priority military bunker!

This is where the story takes a huge turn for the worst. Seconds after finding that m4 you are staring at in the top picture, i decided to lay down and open the door right next to me (the blue door) as the door opened my guy was trusted back against the wall and both of my legs snapped on impact as i lost a good 1000 health. Alright, now this got real. Time to find some morphine.

Still managing to kill zombies regardless my broken legs.

A bit too many zombies for one guy here, i mean come on.

The moment i thought it was all over, thank god those zombies have an alpha stage of mind.

Shortly before this picture, i encountered a good 6 zombies that wanted me dead.. came out of nowhere i fought them off, but sadly i am at 6,000 health and shaking. :(

This zombie, attacked me... Then left me alone and walked off. THANK GOD FOR ALPHA.

I am currently sitting on the ground waiting for daylight so i can make my trip back to the strip, i have a m1014 with 7 rounds and plenty of food and drinks. I am ready this time, GET AT ME ZOMBIES!

i would never head north without morphine, painkillers, bandages, food, and drink... a bigger backpack to carry them in also. makes the trip a lot easier.

That may be true, but you gotta understand... i just wanted to head up there and check it out. And gathering all of those items can take a good amount of time, unless you horde them in a empty server :)

Nice find, the M4A1CCO SD is one of the rarest guns in the game and I've only ever come across 1
