Renting a server

Going to rent a NY server for Dayz, anyone recommend any companies. Looking to buy in the next 24 hours, this weekend im going nuts on dayz

I've been looking to rent one too. I've been looking on line but from what i've heard they are not renting any servers out that run the dayz mod at this time. But after reading in the forums looks like thats not the case?

You don't look for DayZ hosting, you look for ARMA 2 server hosting. DayZ is not a standalone, it is a mod for a game. -_-

You guys need to be very careful about doing that as most companies that support Arma do not support DayZ due to it requiring the latest beta patch. Definitely inquire with there support before ordering.

I have personally seen a sudden spike in users purchasing unmanaged VDS to run DayZ. If you have a little background in the Arma series and can follow instructions from the DayZ guys then you can easily get a server up.

I keep seeing post where users are having problems with there company taking a little long to roll out DayZ updates or the latest beta patch. With a VDS you can do so instantly and have your server backup and running before most.

I have no idea bout ARMA, but does ARMA use some sort of database management. As in SQL?
