Tent experts.. please help me.

I cannot seem to find anywhere in the forum where anyone is having the same problem with placing tents as I am. Whenever and wherever I try to place a tent it says "you cannot place a tent here", saying that it needs to be a clear area with no objects around it. I've tried placing it everywhere, Please help me, I have valuable loot that needs a safe home <3.

try to place it, walk forward a step repeat repeat sooner or later it goes down, they are just kinda buggy

Just spam click the hell out of from it and move at the same time and hope for the best.

sounds retarded but lay on the ground and roll around to flatten it. this only lasts a little while as the grass will come back up but keep trying, and dont get the trunk of a tree in it thatll stot you from being able to store loot in it.
