DayZCommander/SixUpdater messing up install

Recommended Posts

I've returned to DayZ after a time away.

I've downloaded Sixupdater as per the download page's instructions but it does not seem to work as simply as it seems like it should.

I tried DayZ commander to see if this would be any better - it seemed much more straightforward, however after using it to download and install the update for ArmA2, the revision has reverted to "87580" and will not move from this even though I repeatedly update. Stranger still, DayZCommander seems to think Arma2 is 'Up to date'.

Every time I try to run DayZ through DayZ commander I get the 'error creating direct3d 9 graphical engine' message.

Any help? I had DayZ running fine before these automated updaters were introduced. Now it is very difficult to see exactly what is going wrong.

I am also stuck on a revision (95248) although I have manually patched it, and even seen the new changelogs in the beta folder. I just went back toSixLauncher and it seems to work when I load through that.
