Tent inventory space

How much stuff can a tent hold? Past experience i've been able to put 10 guns, etc in it. The wiki says 10 guns, 50 general, 5 backpacks, is this correct?

I can only fit 2 guns, 1 backpack, and about 20-ish general items in before stuff starts to fall out. :\

i just think of them like backpacks with 50 spots in it, so 2 guns =20 taken, if backpacks take 10 as well all you said there =50, its just how ive grown to use them and seems to work

a tent can hold 50 misc items (ammo, food, morphine, blood packs etc) 10 weapons and tools(5 weapons and 5 tools, or any mix of the two) and a certain number of car parts.. I cannot remember exactly how much ATM but I will find the link.

edit: it looks like car parts fall into the MISC category?

an Item that takes up 10 slots (gun) only takes up 1 slot in a tent.

That's wrong.

However, it is possible that some tents bug to this. I had a tent that started dropping items at <20 items.

From what i saw i guess tents used to have 50 slots. Just like the #2 post says.

1 Weapon = 10 slots

1 backpack = 10 slots

So you could actually store 2 weapons 1 backpack and 20 "1slot" items like soda, beans etc.

This means that even if all 50 item slots are available, if you have 10 guns already stored, you can't put any more into the tent. To work around this, additional guns and tools can be put into backpacks which can then go into the tent.
