Need information: L85A2 AWS still in game?

Hey guys, so, I found a dead player (appereantly) and looted a sweet L85A2 AWS from his body, alongside some STANAG SD rounds. I am a bit afraid, because since 1.7.2 (i guess) rumor had it it was removed, is it still in the game and safe to use?

It was never removed. There are rumors and then there are patch notes.

Just a tip: ditch the SD rounds and get normal Stanag. The bullets go 3x as fast with no difference in sound.

LOL I found one of these at the NW airfield fire station looking building - didn't know how rare it was until I looked on the wiki today - OMG why did I not pick this up!!!

I settled for my trusty M249 that I was carrying not knowing any details on that gun.

Ah well maybe next time. As it was not looted and was spawned I would believe this is a legit gun to carry mate.
