Annoying beep in towns(?)

In towns i hear some kind of beep every few seconds. High pitch, seems to come from a specific direction.

What is this?

Assumption: Does this warn me about near bandits? If yes, does the beep come from their direction?

I just tried to find the source, but could not find anybody.

It sounds like an "this-building-is-secured-via-alarm"-beep every 5-15 seconds or something. I dont know, what this is, but it doesn't sound like a honk or church bells.

I'm sitting inside a supermarket, if that has something to do with it. But i heard this in other towns as well, where i don't know if these had supermarkets. One had a hospital for sure.

Ok, can't be any supermarket or hospital-sound, I hear that beep in the little town NorthWest of Dubrovka, too.

Sounds like a swing or a metal fence door. Just ambient noise.

it's the smoke alarm in the building across the street. the battery is dead.

zeds are upset about this noise too, but they can't figure out how to change the batteries. : /

Thanks, but im quite sure this sound is ingame, since i used headphones and i recorded only windows sound ;)
