hoover (DayZ) 0 Posted May 22, 2012 So, I logged in the first time a couple adys ago and immediately got shot at by another survivor. I return fire, and kill the person. They drop dead. And now im at negative 2k or so humanity and have a bandit skin.I ask around about how to get rid of it, they say kil bandits, bandage up people, etc. So over the next few days I kill half a dozen bandits, and no survivors. Was over 3000 humanity before it was removed, and died half a dozen times. STILL have bandit skin. How do i get rid of it? if i cant i might as well just mow down everyone I see, since they kill me on sight.
sherlock (DayZ) 31 Posted May 22, 2012 Shooting bandits, at least as far as I know, doesn't yield any positive humanity, it's humanity neutral, since it won't add or substract any humanity points. The idea that it does yield positive humanity seems to be quite a common superstition since I've read it a couple of times on the forums so far.Humanity points can be regained by:-bandaging other people (+20 humanity points)-administering meds to others (+20 humanity points)-administering a blood transfusion (+250 humanity points)Your humanity points should also "regenerate" over time (150 humanity points/5 minutes or 30/minute).Once you reach +2000 you're survivor status will be restored. The game has a self-defense mechanism that allows you to shoot someone who opened fire and hit you (might be necessary that the agressor hits you for the trigger to work) within a 2 minute window without any repercussions.Hope this answers your question
Dynamo the wonder 3 Posted May 22, 2012 Just wait long enough and it'll go away if you have positive humanity.
hoover (DayZ) 0 Posted May 22, 2012 It's been three or four days, hasn't gone away, haven't killed anyone unless they shot me first.
