'Wait for host'

Ever since i got the game 5 days ago i have been trying to get to play Dayz, i have followed all the correct steps, in downloading Arma2 and Arma2OA and 6 Launcher and Updater. However, everytime i try and get into a server it comes up the loading screen 'wait a moment' the one with all the tank, then goes to a screen where all it says is 'wait for host'. Now i have tried every server in the UK because that is where i live, i have looked through the forums every day, i have reinstalled everything twice. And even when i try access the Multi-player server on Arma2:OA and on normal Arma2, there are never any multi-player servers to join, let alone any Dayz ones, the page is just blank. I have changed my routers at home and i came round to a friends house where he is playing on Dayz and he is having no trouble where as i am experiencing the same problem that i had at my own house. I also disabled my firewall for Arma2 and Arma2:OA. I am honestly stuck and i would really appreciate some help, thanks guys.

Does your PC meet the minimal requirements?

:Yes it does, i could play the single player of arma2 but yet i could not play single player of Arma2:OA it would just freeze at the loading screen.
