Leaving to stop zombies from killing you problem

I was in a group today and we were raiding a shopping center when all of the sudden someone got zombies to attack us. Anyway one guy was screaming "logout and just rejoin and then the zombies will disappear".......whats the point of this game if you get zombies on you and just logging out so they can't kill you? There needs to be a penalty for leaving while having zombies chasing you.

I think a 10-20 second timeout for your in-game character (even if you Alt-F4), as in most MMOs, would solve this nicely. I just sort of assumed that would be implemented later on.
