PC shuts down during play

I've got a strange problem, my PC will automatically shut down after 5-10 minutes of play. My power settings have all been disabled. anyone know whats going on? thanks.

sounds like overheating. desktop computer or laptop?

check for dust in the cpu cooler if its a desktop, or check the case ventilator in case of a laptop.

opening a laptop is not always an easy task, some builds are a pain to open and clean.

Could also be a ram or vram defect.

i have a desktop. its been a while since i opened it and cleaned the dust out. i'll give that a try. thanks for the help.
