got my first taste of the L85A2 thermal scope today...

Recommended Posts

Just have to say holy crap. Got it in the dead of the night, next thing literally within five seconds someone is running full speed by me, guessing they didn't have any nightvision,.. bring up the thermal and three shots later zombie food.

I know I won't get to hold onto it long, but damn is it fun lol

Well not so much for my blind victim, but still.

It's an amazing scout gun :)

I have one currently in my backpack.

A vast improvement damage and range wise over the bizon sd I was using. I unloaded near a full clip on someone with bizon and they didn't die immediately. The l85a2 has been 2-3 low recoil rounds.

It's nice to have a similar scout advantage during the day with the thermal as at night with night vision.

My group has had the joy of finding a few of these but the last few bugged them up and they disappeared randomly. :(

Either way, have you tried turning on the laser designator (I think it's the same button as flashlight, L) with night vision on? If your buds have NVG, it's a good spotting tool.

Near Veloba. I have six clips for it :D

Yes, for my buddies with nvg it's a great spotting tool. Also the laser makes a fairly accurate crosshair.

Problem is its great for your enemies with NVGs too! I have one plus my trusted M14... prefer the M14.. but the thermal scope is great. I did find myself shooting at a dead sniper for a few minutes at a range of about 900m! doh!
