You know what this mod REALLY needs?

It needs Rocket to Lock the forums, have a bug reporting forum where anything that is a genuine bug can be reported. Anything posted there that isn't, is instantly nuked.

Rocket you have had the the idea of the decade with this mod. Please don't allow this to continue. No matter how much you think it will not, You will get swayed away from Your vision. And it will be on this forum the seed is planted. This forum will become a whinefest for the anti everything crowd.

I trust in your vision, I will stay even with some of the features I may dislike. Hold true to your Own vision for this mod. Don't listen to all the X is bad, Y breaks the game threads. Just Lock the forums down, so you can complete your vision, as you see fit. Or before you know it, you'll be implementing things people cry for, without even realising it. And we'll be playing L4D in Arma II.

I honestly believe the publicity the mod has received was too soon. not enough of the base mod was created, before the hordes of whinerncry stormed the gates. And yes even I have found myself suggesting things that will change the game. It's human nature for us to want to get a piece of ourselves in this.

So I'm pleading with you, not to listen. Stamp out the fires of whinencry's armies. shut this down! It's already nothing but repeated whines with different titles. And it will only get worse.

Anyway, this mod needs more things to do, and not more reasons not to do anything at all.

There were a lot of fun things about this mod, but it is getting less and less fun.

Yeah. Do it. My eyes bleed from threads of stupid suggestions and complaining. No but seriously though. I'm sure rocket has enough sense to know what should be added to the game and what shouldn't. Trust me just because someone puts up a thread about something that they think should be added to the game doesn't mean it's going happen unless it's actually something sense-able. Though, you don't see to many of those.

People are entitled to their own opinions and suggestions, I see no point to lock down the forums. Best to let them be creative, right?

As for the bug report forum, we have one and it's doing just fine as far as I'm concerned but some other people might say differently.

I know there is a bug forums, and I'm saying that's all there should be. It's becoming too much, there are suggestions for features in every sub forum. The place is becoming a mess and a whinefest.

Also no matter how much somebody thinks they are immune. Whines always affect you, whether you want to admit it or not. So there will be an effect on the Mod with all this one way or another. And I don't want that to happen.

It's an alpha, he is open to suggestions and ideas. If he didn't want it that way I believe the suggestions sub-forum wouldn't be there, and if anything then there would be a unofficial forum that he would probably still look at.

I think this "whining" as you call it, is very valueble to the developement of the DayZ mod. Without "whining" or, "criticism" things wouldn't get refined, bad features wouldn't be removed, and there wouldn't be as much community interaction. As things stand this forum has a ton of people on it, posting a ton of unique ideas, along with criticism. Both of these things are valuable because without the community then rockets idea ultimately would have no reason to exist

I don't think he really has a vision. Even he says things he changes are little experiments. I don't think he has a year long list of things to implement into DayZ. You can't have experiments without outcomes. People voice the outcome here.

If he wanted to do it your way, I'm sure he would have by now.

This is advice I hear people give all the time to newcomers expecting a game more to their liking. Now replace "game" with "forum" and you'll have the advice I give to anyone who can't handle the complaints here. Take your own advice and either like it or leave it. No one is forcing you to read these threads, and this forum is necessary to bring new thoughts and ideas (and bug reports) to the devs.
