current zombie mechanics

Recommended Posts

I don't like the current zombie mechanism tbh. It used to be alot better in 1.5 in my opinion. I used to be able to know almost exactly how zombies behaved, how far(or close) you could get to them when running, crouch running, stepping, crouch stepping or crawling. Now they just seem to agro randomly. Even when you are not moving in crouched position and a zombie is 50 meters away from you facing the other way they can agro 'just like that'. Also the way they spawn is very unrealistic. When you kill the last zombie in a specific area, they all just respawn AT THE SAME PLACE instantly. This is stupid imo.

Instead of sneaking through a town and skillfully avoiding zombies like i used to do, now i'm like 'oh screw this i just run in'.

One of the game's biggest problem is the Zombie spawn system, endless spawn is not very motivating. This pushes the game over in pvp as zombie slaughter is meaningless and just a waste of ammo.

It had been so much better if we could have cleared a village and the reward was to get the loot in peace until you leave the site and / or after a given time period.

Hope this mechanic will be changed soon, at least for the standalone.
