How do you "ignore"/"block" someone on these forums?

There isn't a means to do so at the moment. You can report any posts as inappropriate by clicking the "Report" button under each post of a thread. You can block people from personal conversations when you report offensive messages in there too. But perhaps the best way is not to start personal conversations with them in the first place.

Actually kodabar, you're wrong.

Go to your name in the top right corner, click on Ignore Pref's, add names.
