Server item question (not the usual will my car change servers with me?)

Recommended Posts

1.) Do items that I place in-game such as tents, fences, fires, etc. remain in that server forever? Or does that stuff get removed during a restart/update?

2.) If I clear a town or small area of zombies, will that town remain clear so long as someone is in the town?

3.) will loot/inventory items such as food, water, guns, etc. that I place on the ground remain in the server even after server restart/update?

4.) If I leave a fire burning will it remain in the server?

Thanks for the help

1) if you set up a tent and select the "save"-option in the interaction menue your tents location and stored items in it will be saved on the server you placed it on. The tent should remain where you saved it even after a server restart (some have reported that they lost their tent to a server crash). However if you die it will despawn after a while and you won't be able to pick it up again (you'll still be able to access all items you stored in it).

2) The area around you should stay free of zombies. However the spawning seems flawed and many reported of zombies spawning right next to them. Areas a bit further away from you will get populated by zombies again, after a while.

3) Items you drop will be removed after a while.

4) I never tried that, I'll test it tomorrow and give you an update on that. I doubt it however since with the newest alpha build (patch) a fire will require additional wood to keep burning.

I hope this answers you questions.
