xTankJones16x 0 Posted July 26, 2012 Anyone else have this problem? Whenever I load up Six Launcher, and load up the game, in the menu and in the game I get 96% - 99% GPU usage, with around 20 - 30 FPS in game, with a resolution of 1600x900, and quality set to around normal for everything.Specs:q6600 @ 3.2GHzGTX 570 (OC'd a bit)4GB RAMI'm not getting bottle necked by my CPU or RAM, and the GPU is the only thing reaching 99% usage.I plan on updating the drivers after I post this, but not sure if it will fix the problem. If anyone has any other suggestions or know how to fix it, help would be appreciated. Thanks
engiNERD 4 Posted July 26, 2012 Not sure if you have a certain mouse configurator at all. In my case I suffer from the same thing, I have to close my Razer Mouse Confiurator in my tray thats part of the taskbar and bam....low cpu usage...otherwise just make sure you have all unecessary processes closed. If your not sure what process trees to end, google em....GOOGLE is a hell of a drug...
FrankTheDuck 99 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) ^^^ He said GPU not CPU.How is it a problem your GPU is running at 99%?Would you not want it to be giving it's all to such a massively open game? Edited July 26, 2012 by FrankTheDuck
jetao2008@hotmail.com 175 Posted July 26, 2012 You would be having a problem if your GPU wasn't running at 90%+ in a game like this.I struggled so many times running World of Warcraft seeing my GPU at 30% usage knowing that it could work a little bit harder to give me a better FPS margin. It is supposed to be running like that, AS FAR AS I KNOW, so i think you don't need to worry.Your FPS seems a little bit low, where did you test it? Arma 2 Benchmark? Try disabling postprocess effect in the menu, unless you already did that. I have a similar GPU (GTX 580) and i get 75 FPS on the benchmark running the game at VERY HIGH settings and 1920x1080 (the VERY HIGH preset, without manually increasing everything to top notch settings, just with postprocess effects disable). Sometimes I will get like 30% - 50% GPU usage, and the game will seem a lot more smooth.FPS was from having DXTORY open but not recording (same recording software like FRAPS). Zheiko (DayZ) 10 Posted July 26, 2012 Ok, I have similar problem, my specs is as follows:Asus M4A79-DeLuxe; AMD Phenom II 940 BE; 2x 2gb 800mhz DDR2 Corsair; Asus GTX 560 Ti DirectCUII; Creative X-Fi Titanium + Roccat Kave; Roccat Kone V2 + Roccat Sense Glacier Blue; Logitech G15 V2; Antec Twelve Hundred Gaming Case; Corsair TX650w V2 80+Now, since I am standing on one point in game, and set everything on highest and have 30-31 fps(fraps), and then set everything on lowest, I get 32-33fps - no big difference, so I know, that my GF cannot be the bottleneck, and most likely its the processor, which I have recently overclocked from 3.0 to 3.2(waiting for new cooling system to be delivered before pushing it to 3.6) I know, that Phenom II 940 is slightly better than C2Q6600 at same frequency, so I would say, that your problem actually IS the processor.Another thing that I notice is, that if I switch off the game completely, and then run it again, I usualy get 60+fps, and after certain time of playing, FPS is going lower and lower, till I get to 25-30fps, after rebooting the game, it usualy gets better again - anyone gets any solution for this? punisherita 4 Posted July 26, 2012 Same here. It's the only game which put my GTX580 over 90°C and can't understand if it's ok like this.
vier0hr 21 Posted July 26, 2012 It's just the loadup or exit usage. I have a i7 Ivy Bridge savertooth z77 16 gb ram and a gtx 680. and while I run pretty high up there on higher quality even when runing only high you hit 99% during loads and shit. Weird, but should'nt hurt anything.
AluCaRdBe 32 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) U do realize ur gpu usage reaching 99% is the best thing that can happend to u right? Ok, maybe apart from 100%Same here. It's the only game which put my GTX580 over 90°C and can't understand if it's ok like this.totally fine, one of my GTX 480s reaches 110°C in burn-in tests. Anything below 110°C won't damage ur card if ur running fermi Edited July 26, 2012 by AluCaRdBe
