Starting a new server

I asked staff this question...

I want to rent a server for my clan from Host Altitude on the 1st of the month, am I able to sign up for an instance now, or do I have to wait until I have purchased the server?

You best bet would be to contact their sales department with your question. We can't unfortunately help you with finding a third party to rent from.

I don't know if this person read my question, but can someone answer this for me?

if you purchase via a host they will supply everything you need, including the instance and whitelisting. thoes are for people renting a dedicated server box itself and installing arma2/dayz themselves.

You need the server first. In order to sign up you need to know things about your server like connection and hardware type and most importantly IP so it can be white-listed if approved. The person did answer your question you just didn't read the server rules or try to understand his answer.

Not if he's getting a slotted server from them....if so, they do all that
