Tracer rounds!

I think tracer rounds would be a great addition in DayZ.

My main reason for thinking this is when trying to give a reference of a enemy location sometimes not everyone can see the enemy and i know from real life experience a easy way to show the location of a enemy (especially at night) is to just say Squad- watch my tracer put a couple tracer rounds in there direction and boom everyone can light that area up.

tracer also has the negative effect of giving a rough idea of were you are (but not perfect as the "phos" ( i think its phosphorous? or magnesium for white? on them i forgot)) it only ignites after a certain flight time around 100m from my recollection but i could well be wrong

What do you guys think :)?

There is already tracer rounds in the game. MG's shoot them and boy do they look awesome in Elektro at night.

Well not necessarily i can appreciate the thought but in reality you can put tracer in a pistol. its just a different end to the bullet size that ignites when the round reaches a certain temperature (but i can appreciate the only high grade weapons)

Maby it could be done so tracer rounds could only be found in military areas ? and very rare

There not the tracers i was talking about i mean the red lights that are made for target designation.

That's true, but I found DMR, a SAW and a MK-48 with lots of ammo at a single crash site.

Just gotta find those fresh helos, you will get one.
