jordy@sigux.com 44 Posted July 26, 2012 ^^ Agree with the above. Also, I think they should maybe make it harder to get good weapons. So that you can't really go alone, and have to like group up, just like you would in real life. Would make it more realistic if you ask me.

lkoopmann@gmx.net 10 Posted July 26, 2012 you´re right to some point. but there is no way you can change that. server wise you can try to set up something with many friends like rules/police completely player driven. but in terms of boundaries game wise there is no possible option. and that´s the whole point of dayz. it all should be player driven. not any rules by the game or the dev´s that they shove down your throat. in time many of those player´s will fade i hope. but till then i have to shoot everyone who comes to close to me. what does not mean that i kill on sight. just in self defense before someone can put a bullet in me. Psyl3nt 125 Posted July 26, 2012 Learn english then come back and rage, and by the way why do you think it's the COD players ? - don't you think they'd well... be playing COD ?The ones killing you in this game are DayZ players.Another butthurt kid crying and raging and trying to blame "CoD players" because they got owned in that game aswell. In the next game you play and get raped in are you going to call all the players you don't like "dayZ players" ?rarely I say this, but it looks like this game isn't for you.... l2play and so forth... random51 172 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) I don't see an inherent contradiction in killing everybody who isn't part of my group and continued survival. In fact I find that dead players are the least dangerous aspect of this game.People who keep asking for gameplay changes to increase grouping are ignoring that smart players already group up AND KILL OTHER PLAYERS ON SIGHT WHO AREN'T PART OF THEIR GROUP.The only way you stop players from killing other players on sight is to remove PvP entirely. Good luck with that. Edited July 26, 2012 by random51

unitus77@live.com 61 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Good luck. In the perfect world people as mentioned and annoying british kids would leave us friendly's alone. I've been shot atlest 20 separate times obviously unarmed yelling friendly, stabbed in the back and whatever else people can do to me. I'm one more pointless death away from stopping to try to be a friendly. Edited July 26, 2012 by unitus77
Squeezit 2 Posted July 26, 2012 I haven't killed anyone yet, but I've seen a couple survivors.I ignore the ones who don't have a weapon, but I keep an eye on them incase they draw one.I hide from the ones with weapons and if they get close I keep my weapon ready. When they pass by me, I leave.
skuggan 4 Posted July 26, 2012 I hear you buddy, but it's a hard problem to get rid of.Ofc in a real life zombie apocalypse people wouldn't go around killing every living thing they saw, but this is a videogame and hard to control those things in a sandbox game like this. However i'm sure rocket is trying to balance it all, and that the final product will be as good as it gets.Hang in there! thehumandove 344 Posted July 26, 2012 No. People that play this like COD are the ones who get killed all the time.

However I'm pretty confident i would never kill anyone coldhearted by laying with a sniper rifle 1000m from the biggest city just for fun. I would concentrate on surviving.Nor would i run around like a maniac in said city shooting at everything that moves. But I guess there would be a small % of the earths population that would actually go at it with the intentions to just Murder people. SillySil 295 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) Yeah dude finding a hatchet, matches, hunting knife and water bottle and spending hours in a forest is fun.If this were a real apocalypse, I don't see people acting any different.Killing other survivors and stealing all their stuff. At best they might hold someone at gun point, steal all their belongings, then let them go.Which in a sense is almost the same as condemning them to death. If a zombie apocalypse would happen it wouldn't be the first disaster to happen to us. Psyl3nt 125 Posted July 26, 2012 Comparing this to any SHTF events that have happened is a bit off, in every event that has happened in the modern world, there is still civilisation somewhere, there is always going to be "someone" coming to help or restore order. In DayZ the entire world as we know it is gone, law, gone, civilisation, gone. There are no consequences for "bad" actions, there is little reward for "good" actions, I think it is pretty accurate in many ways, of course it wouldn't be quite as "bad" but it would not be far off I think.Personally if I had to survive, I would be picking people off from miles away if I could, because it would keep them away fom "my place", and hopefully the area would get a reputation and others would stop coming.Less people roaming around "my place" makes it so my survival chances go up. I would probably kill more people in a real apocalypse than I do in this game (current count 3, and 2 of those I was shot at first).
