loading question

im not sure if this is the right place to put this or not since it really isnt a troubleshoot persay, but i do have a question. I bought CO through steam and for the first few days, i launched the game through steam...then i stoped playing for about a month and then came back and manually updated the mod and the arma game)didnt know about six updater/launcher) the only why i could get the game to work was to go into the Arma 2 folder and use the beta.exe to start the game. So i made a shortcut of the exe and put it on my desktop and thats how ive been launching arma(and just recently started using Dayzcommander)

well since steam auto updated arma 2 and OA i decided to launch CO through steam just to see if for some strange reason id get better preformance, and when i launch the game through steam, there is no @dayz no @expansion/deta) or whatever its suppose to be) it looks like a clean install of Arma 2 CO

could this mean that i might have the game sownloaded twice on my computer or something?

Also, if I had Arma 2 free(cause i wanted to see if i could run arma 2 before buying CO) then bought CO, is the game using the arma free textures or the CO textures?

ok so update, i did alittle testing and i guess i shouldnt be launching CO from steam, I should be launching OA...if i do that i get the @dayz and stuff in the expansion. Not sure if thats how its suppose to work but thats whats workin for me

also i noticed that when im launching the game from the exe it doesnt show the BI loading screen, the Arma 2 logo...it just goes straight to the wait for loading screen then to the main menu...dont know if thats suppose to happen either :/
