WalBanger 11 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) HiI see you are doing a lot of work on this mod (which is really good to see) and I have seen a few clips of ideas to come up, but I thought I would add my ideas to the mix, some of which may have been mentioned before.1) GOT to have pickable spawn points or something so you can meet friends easy (or a pointer on the hud showing where friends are, requiring a group option).2) Flash light and gun (2 hand locations, left and right), I think we really need to be able to see what we are shooting and fire at same time (like in real life), possible have 2 slots for hands so I can have pistol in 1 hand and light in the other...... or pistol and crowbar (for silent kills), or mad man like double pistols, etc. (but i do like the idea of keeping the "put away right hand weapon, taking out flare/cam light and throwing, then getting out right hand weapon again with ONE click of a button.Now there are a few extra points on this that I’ll throw in at same time:-Don’t know if this a bug or what but, AT CURRENT, I can’t seem to have a rifle and a pistol and switch to a torch? I should be able to put gun on back, and switch between the pistol and torch? I can if I replace the rifle with an axe and repeat…….. but I do not want to have to drop my rifle every time i want to see.3) Water bottles- I think this should hold enough for 2-3 lots of drink.4) damage meters (if not coming off their body then in txt at the bottom left corner), like if it hits in head say I have done 50 damage, body 20 dmg etc just so I can see what are best weapons to keep, because I have no idea if my revolver is better than the pistol I just found or the rifle I have etc…. **before people say it’s not realistic, if in the real life I shot someone in the arm I would see the difference between a small hole in the arm and the whole arm blown off!?!5) ****EDITED: i have changed my mind on the following they dont need changing imo:-Cam lights and flares should do a bigger area of light, sometimes I have seen this happen (like fill a whole street with light) and other times a 30cm patch.6) A separate window for your bag, it’s far too hard to navigate…... AND I don’t know if it’s because of a bug but I have lost far too much stuff moving it from my bag to my inventory etc…. a nice drag and drop action from 1 window to the next would be awesome and far easier to use.......I bet 100's of people have been shot while trying to look through there bags for stuff (I don't mean so you can quickly run around bandaging stupidly quick, I mean just to make the game more enjoyable, and easier to use)*another7) doors that work... If you run in a building and close the door I think this should stop the zombies coming in, and they should defenetly not be able to walk through like a ghost.... (I'm sure your working on this but just in case ;-))8) when ammo is put into a gun it should be in the gun and not still in inventory, so it frees up a slot.......... and also maybe put ALL ammo types in the belt not just pistol ammo?9) I would like to be able to open my bag and or loot in what ever potion im in..... at the moment if you are lay down because zombies/players are out side a window, and you open bag or loot you kneel so everyone can see you...10) Change weapons while running, for example go from my crossbow to my pistol while running.11) make crossbow BOLTS easier to pick up of the body you just killed (maybe make it go into inventory of dead body?)As i go along i will update any more ideas i have here, if thats ok :) Edited July 27, 2012 by WalBanger Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Just no.2) Possibly, Maybe on higher end guns like the M16 or so. possibly a weaker pistol (like an M9)3) Already in the game, and its 1 drink that is refillable. Also makes your water indicator last longer than drinking soda4) No. Just, no.5) Blue chem lights give off the smallest visual radius (distance ppl can see) and flares are the largest. The more you know...6) This is ArmA's fault, but I would like this as well. The reason you lost item from going to bag-inv or inv-bag is because you don't have room. I'd like this but I can see problems with this, such as spawn camping or everyone spawning at the city so that it gets overrun with noobs and overlooted.2. I think that some guns have an option to use a flashlight with them, but I would like to see more guns have this feature and maybe an option to use a knife alongside them but I have no idea how that would work.3. Agreed, you should be able to drink two or three sips per fill.4. I don't really see why this would need to be put in since it would make it look tacky imo. But maybe if it's only for zombies and it wasn't anything over the top like a giant health bar and just a little percentage of how much blood they have I could see it work.5. TBH I think it's fine atm and flares are easy to find in most places.6. It's realistic like that though. I mean people don't just run around with bandages in their hands during a zombie apocalypse. Its a bit glitchy and it works the same way when you walk between bushes and dive.8) No, technically it is in the gun, and thus take up inventory space. In fact that inventory space is your 'active inventory' rather than your backpack. I think this is fine. The AI is just buggy at the moment. Im sure they will make it less so later (why the fuck wouldnt they). The zombies do go to your last known last location after they lose the LoS.8. That way you start with friends, but people don't crowd Cherno and the airstrip. But really, there's maps availible, and even if you don't use that, you can figure out if you're on the south coast or east coast, then run east if on south or south if on east, meet up at some point.
