Different Quality Options Run On CPU Instead Of GPU

Recommended Posts

OK. I'm new to the forum so forgive me for any mistakes :)

I have been told by many people that on a lot of in game settings, for example Shadow Detail, When you are on Very High setting it runs on your graphics card (GPU) compared to anything under very high it runs on your CPU. I am using a Nvidia GTX570 graphics card so its not too bad and I can play most games on ultra settings at over 60fps. I am wondering if anybody knows if any of the other settings have to be on a specific setting to run off your GPU instead of your CPU?

Thanks for the help.

-Dan

Play metro 2033 maxed out ;) after you do that DayZ will feel like 60FPS. I believe that HDR does, though I'm not too sure, someone correct me on that if I'm wrong. Turn post processing off also and put memory to default. There are quite a few guides out there so that you can get maximum performance out of your system.

Thank you :) Are you saying that HDR should be on full or off? I have Post Processing and Anti Aliasing off. Don't know how to put memory to default though. Shall do some googling :)

HDR full and memory is in the advanced settings like everything else, just select default :)
