Arma 2 just updated, Do i use beta version still?

I just downloaded day z & arma yesterday and I was playing using the latest beta version. But now i heard arma came out with a new patch fixing things so do launch using ArmaOA or the beta exe from yesterday?

New betapatches come almost daily so just update your's with the server you play on.

Launch DayZ normally.

You must still use the beta patch

You'll be better off updating your game to the newest patch from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

Download and install it like before, just so you're up to date for bux fixes and the likes!

If you use Six Launcher to launch the game;

Close steam and your Six launcher.

Open Steam as Administrator

Verify both files of Arma 2, and Arma 2 OA.

To Verify, go In steam, right click the game > "Properties" > "Local Files" > "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"; Do this for BOTH Arma II and Arma II OA.

To verify that you have the latest beta patch, open Six Updater, scroll to "@DayZ" > right click > "Install or update mod"

Open both games and close them off. (Updates game files i believe)

Open Six Launcher

Verify - And you'll be up to date and just launch normally from your Six Launcher.

You can safely install patch 1.62 (as i did) then install the latest beta. I doubt that they will have everyone switch to a stable patch (although they should) due to the mass confusion since people don't generally know how to make shortcuts.

Ok thanks for the info. I didn't realize that the beta patches change so quickly. I usually just launch DayZ from the ArmaOA beta exe but since this new 1.62 is suppose to stable should i be using the ArmaOA 1.62 exe instead of the beta build i just DL'd a min a go?

Nope, I meant you can safely upgrade to 1.62 but you still need to launch using the beta patches.
