Date/Time: 1.5.8.2 update, any date after, any time after.

What happened: You can still scroll down to the invisible make fireplace option without the need for wood. As long as you have matches there is no need to collect wood with this bug.

What were you doing: Discovered the bug by accident while playing with my scroll wheel. Easily reproducible, as option for make fireplace was not removed from the scroll menu.

Current Version: 1.5.8.2

Servers: Any DayZ server.

As far as I can tell, making a fireplace can be done without the wood, but you cannot light it without wood in the fireplace
