SilenceSoLoud 34 Posted July 25, 2012 So yea, there are so many threads that bitch and whine, and complain and cry about this or that, I honestly felt the need to say thanks for the good times.I bought Arma 2 and installed Day Z right after learning of it from the Ars Technica article/interview with Dr. Wasteland. The premises sounded like something I had been looking for for a long time. And it has delivered. Going into the game with research, knowing it has issues, and knowing that the environment is harsh and unforgiving, along with not being a total whiny and self entitled bitch, I have managed to find this game to offer a great experience. Its great solo, its great teamwork, and its an emotional rollercoaster. In 15 minutes you can go from desperate, to loaded with good stuff, to an intense moment with players, to anger, and disappointment. OR one of those can last days, you really just dont know and the unpredictable nature of this beast is a welcome feature. It has been a long time since any gaming experience has made me enjoy playing the way this game does. There have been good games, but this takes me back into the days of Ghost Recon. So anyway, my praise to BI for the game, to Rocket for the mod, and to the community (the ones that arent drowning in their tears).
