When passing through Elektro I witnessed someone get sniped off a motorcycle about 200 yards in front of me.This was the first time I had seen a vehicle in the game and I soon weighed up the pros and cons of trying to take the bike myself. I didn't have time to think because in the distance I saw two players (most likely the bandits) coming to collect their prize. At that moment I ran and attempted to get on the bike. Although I successfully managed to do so, I came under fire straight away. Thankfully, I only took a minor hit and was able to ride the bike out of the city and down the coast. With pretty much a full tank of petrol I got pretty far, before I ditched it in some woods.

Does anyone actually bother with motorcycles? Even though I managed to ride along the coast, I became a target for basically everyone with a gun. People just seem to see the bike and think I WANT IT! They are loud and just attract attention. Can someone tell me how they are useful, if you want to survive?

Motorcycles are one of the most powerful items in the game. They carry two passengers, get incredible gas mileage and are very fast and maneuverable on a variety of terrain types.

My crew maintains two motorcycles at all times, and any time one of us logs in separated from the group or dies and spawns on the coast, someone else can hop on a motorcycle and go pick them up.

Cuts travel time down so much.

Plus it's motherfucking fun.

So, yes, to answer your question. People bother with motorcycles. You should have hidden it somewhere and kept it safe.

when you hide it and log off does it stay there? If you log back into the same server a couple hours later is it still where you left it or does it respawn somewhere else when not used?

Ive never seen one. I have only seen a bus once.

Just be careful, they can get out of hand easily and if you roll it at top speed you will die. I've lost two long term survivors to motorcycle accidents.
