How to use alice pack?

I know this is dumb, but i have picked up several alice packs before and i still have the same inventory room as before. What do i have to do to have the extra space?

You have to press G to open your inventory then click the bag and open it, do this when you are picking up items. What you see on the front page of your inventory is only your on body carry, not the bag.

A bit of a different topic but it belongs in here kinda. I had a problem picking up an ALICE pack last night.

I had to first pick up all the other loot that spawned with it (a mag, beans and a can) before I could access or pick up the bag.

Just thought I'd put it here in case anyone else has seen this problem.

I honestly hate this as well, sounds like an issue with the loot priorities.
