Server connection problems?

Since 1.5.8.2 I've been having trouble connecting to some of my favourite servers. Server population aside, whenever I do manage to connect I continuously get a "Connecting failed" message, but it wasn't like this before the update.

Anybody else having this kinda problem? Please respond.
