Night time.

Recommended Posts

Okay, so last night I got the urge to try out the gameplay during night, so I fired up DayzCommander. I tried 5 different servers that were supposed to have night at the time and none of them did. I live in Europe (Estonia) and it was like midnight GMT, and the servers I tried were danish, swedish, german etc. Whats up with that? Anyone knows a good server with decent population that actually sticks to the original day/night cycle?

Cheers!

you're not going to find a night server with a "decent population"

look for low population servers if you want to find a night game

join a vet server

This has absolutely nothing to do with the day time cycle.

Most server do seem to stick to the orignal day/night cycle of their location, but due to desyncs with the HIVE the time isn't passing in sync with real life time. When I play for 8 hours I notice that suually onl 5 or 6 hours have passed in game. Over time it accumilates if server don't reboot in reguarly.

And like the previous poster mentioned, most players don't like night and switch servers when it gets dark. PErsonally I prefer night over day, even without NVG...

There is a lot of servers who are running on a time, different from their location. I believe the servers are doing this so daytime gameplay is possible during the night, but im not certain.

just look at the GMT offset in the Description. when its around 22:00 - 24:00 for example try finding one with GMT +4 or +6...

or you might just filter by the word "night" in the description, there are a handful of night time servers around alltough you probably wont find more then 15 people on them...night is as dark as a bears a**hole ...
