Bounty's for bandits!

Been suggested before.

It would be nice to have a bounty system, but I'm not too sure how it would work.

Also I'd assume it would have to be player made.

Last known location: US130, SE of Stary

Reasoning: Player Death-Dodged when I ambushed his group.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention that he left his friend, Lt. T-Steins to die by my hands, his matches went to a good cause.

I don't exactly understand what you could offer in a bounty system, unless some sort of currency system was set up.

Offering things like weapons seems kinda touchy, definitely since people would need to go collect these weapons in order to add to the realism, which would be a camping spot for bandits.

Seems like a never ending train of bandit kills player, player puts bounty up, player kills bandit goes to collect bounty, bandit kills player, etc. etc.

In order for this to work you'd need a currency system... in order for the system to work you'd need something like an NPC vendor at certian towns where you can buy gear (food/med supplies) or ammuntion perhaps even guns but make it so the ONLY way to get these items are by killing bandits... and make it so you're required x amount of kills to become a bandit and each kill there after increases your income. BUT I know how douche bag players are and they'd camp one area and kill eachother for profit.

implementation would definitely be hard, I guess you could offer anything you could get in the game. It wouldnt be a train as new players wouldnt have much to put up as a reward.

Im thinking NPC vendor, maybe like a sheriffs office you could script npc defenders with a kill bandits on sight policy

Bandits already have a bounty, its called loot.

The better the bandit, the better the loot they are bound to have.

That's what i meant lol.

You kill a bandit, you take their loot as a reward. that is the bounty. it works for both survivors and bandits, so its fine as it is

You can use the forums to arrange bounty's on bandits, I think it's been done.

As mentioned above there is no currency... which may prove difficult in paying someone for their skills.

If you want a certain bandit killed, post it on the forum offering nice guns, vehicles, jet-packs. Whatever you want to give to see your bandit in the dirt. Someone will take-up your offer, or die trying.

NPC's will never happen. It'd have to be player made.
