Trouble with Combined Operations

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to get this game to work for quite a while now, and I think I'm pretty close.

I can start OA through Steam, and the beta and Dayz expansion will be activated. If I join a server I get "You can not play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.cherarus". I figured out that this is due to not launching the game as 'Combined Operations' and NOT 'Operation Arrowhead' when launching from STEAM. My current problem is whenever I start CO under Steam the Dayz mod, or expansion isn't present. So I've tried launching OA from the _runA2CO_beta cmd file in the OA folder. When I do that, a DOS window will open, stream some commands, and the game begins to load. After about 5 seconds an eror message will pop up with "shaders not valid mismatch of exe and data" and the game will close.

So essentially I just need to figure out how to A.) Open CO under Steam with the Dayz expansion loaded or B.) Run the _runA2CO_beta cmd file without the shader error closing the game

I've followed the instructions provided here word for word. I'm really not sure what else to do. I appreciate any help.

I'm confused.

You have both Arma II and Operation Arrowhead...

Did the game work for you at one point?

When I click play, or double click OA, a four choice menu comes up, and combined operations is the fourth choice (if anyone has a way to make it automagically start combined ops, hit me up)...

So you're not getting that?

If its never worked, I would suggest starting up the base game, then OA. Maybe it somehow isn't realizing that both are there?

Yes, I get the box with the four choices when launching from Steam. My original problem was when I lauched from Combined Ops, the dayz mod was not present (eg. it didn't say "Dayz" under the Arma2 logo in the main menu).

This guide might help more than that other:

http://dayzmod.com/f...ter-experience/

So there were a couple things I hadn't done according to this guide. I downloaded the new battle eye, and replaced the old one. I also copied the "arma2oa.exe" from the /beta folder and and replaced it with the same file under the main OA folder.

Now when I launch Combined Operations from Steam (by choosing it under the menu with 4 options) the game will launch with the Dayz mod present. When I try to join a server I'll get the error "You can not play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.cherarus". This is especially confusing because this error is only supposed to occur when you lauch the game with Operation Arrowhead and not Combined Operations.

This is pretty frustrating, but thanks for the help.

In case anyone else following this had the same issue, I found the solution. Apparently you need to copy the Arma2 addon folder and paste it into your Operation Arrowhead folder.
