am i the only one experiencing a massive FPS drop since the latest ARMA 2 patch?

idk if my GPU is dying on me or what, usually i would get 40-60 fps but now im getting 10-20...

i always have AA off... i dont know what ot make of it..

anyone else experiencing strange lag? it was fine yesterday maybe its just a coincidense and my GPU is dying at the age of 3

it's not your pc. It's the servers. A lot of servers seem to be laggy since the update. We'll see if a fix is coming out.

yeah me too, but my theory is that the players are causing that, main server and all that, a lot of new players came

Me too. Seems like I'm getting a steady 5-10fps more since steam update. Nice to actually being able to be in a town and still have 35-40fps. 50-80fps in the wilderness.

Funny story is that me and my friend connected on the same server.

For me it was laggy like hell, for him it worked great. On an other server we played just before it was lagfree for both of us.

After a PC reboot and joining another server the problem was gone.

I usually check by looking down at the ground or straight up in the sky. that should give you a good fps. if not, it's probably something server-side

Pc reboot has done the job for me a few times, the only time i have had any major lag/fps issues is after an update. Same happens with a mates pc as well, similar to Yusho's story above, sometime he gets it, sometimes i do. Reboot = sweet.

go into video options.. you should have 2 new options now.... turn them off +15 fps

Yeah the latest patch added more graphics options, check them out incase that is causing problems. Alot of people are getting terrible FPS, and alot of people are getting great FPS...

they were both off by default for me. I know what PPAA is, but what's the other one all about?
