popularity of Zelenogorsk

Just a quick few questions on Zelen, i must have missed something but when since did Zelen get so darn popular, every time i'm there i more or less run into at least two people and on occasion i hear .50cal's going off around the place.

What is it that's attracting so much traffic to what used to be such a quiet town for me, could be the supermarket but that seems unlikely to me as does green mountain. Anyone want to share why they might be inclined to visit?

Me personally i stop in to grab food and hopefully a compass if i just died and spawned in Kamenka, also i once in a while stalk the western forests for snipers.

its popular because people mostly go trough it if theyre going north, it also have a supermarket. Many people set up camps and tents west of zeleno since it has little traffic right there. second favorite town, first one is elektrozavodsk :)

I was only in Zelenogorsk once, I had just visited green mountain tower looking for vehicles.

Traveled into Zeleno since I hadn't found anything at Gmount.

Got bit by a zombie just south of the city, found a bandage nearby and right after I bandaged, I got hit by another Zed. Then I bled out in the street.

Its a great place to get alice pack while going to north. And thats pretty much it, othervise useless town.

It has a supermarket, barn, and several industrial/car spawns, directly on the route to NW if you spawn on the west side of the map, has treelines within easy sniping range and rests in a fairly flat and open area, and is less popular than Stary. As people begin to avoid Stary until they are better geared, more move to Zelen.

With them come the snipers and griefers.

I've seen a few tent cities in its area and it has vehicle spawns, I go to zelen a lot really.
