So after playing Day Z for roughly a week now i've become a bandit, i don't give people a chance anymore, if i see you i will kill you, anything to ensure my survival.

At the beggining i was a survivor, looting Cherno and Elektro screaming "friendly!" whenever i came across someone, only to find out that was only getting me killed.

At the moment i dont have amazing gear, me and my friend play together and we have agreed to adopt the shoot on sight mentality. So last night we were on a low populated US server, 6 people including ourselves, we are well away from any big cities and we come across a barn,

"Shit!" my friend says, "there is someone in the barn"

We talk in game to him and he says that he needs some morphine, he wont shoot,

We enter and i say, if you try anything we will kill you, he faces away from us in prone and says, "Give me morphine, there is no way i could kill you guys."

So i walk up behind him and tell him its going to be ok, my friend is coming to give him morphine now, then i unload two shotgun slugs to his head.

tl;dr I'm an asshole and just wanted to share the beggining of my banditry.

Even I'm a bandit. But wasting people who need medical help? God damn man even I helped a guy who I shot because he had a crowbar, and was a friendly. That's just sad man. Your friend shouldve blown your face off.

hahaha good read my style of banditry is that I befriend someone and then when they start being an ass i shoot them in the back of the head while there looting. I know, im a dick.

I know, it is an absolute asshole move. Me and my friend feel that we have died to often to people when giving them help, and considering this is our best run yet we didnt want to take chances.

I operate a "NOT DEAD - SHOOT IT" policy.

Since I can't impliment the "NOT DEAD - KILL & EAT IT" M.O. yet because eating dead people in an apocalypse is still morally incorrect, for some reason...

Similar experience, was near Polana and heard shots quickly followed by a player in side chat asking if anyone near Polana would give them morphine, me and my friend announced that we were close and had morphine so we walked over onto a hillside and spot this poor sod crawling through a doorway... My buddy's FAL made short work of him, sad part was that he had nothing of use to us.
