Ping exceptions in Battleye

Recommended Posts

I couldn't see anything on the Battleye config page, but I figured I'd ask just to see if this was possible. We have a user who wants to be in our clan, but he's based in the US (the rest of us are in the UK). He's unable to connect to our server, as his ping is just a little too high. Is there a way to add an exception, so that his ping value is ignored, or would we just have to adjust the max ping value on the server?

This setting is in your "beserver.cfg".

You can find it in "cfgdayz\BattlEye\" directory of the server.

Also, you set the maxping setting with the server rcon with "maxping #", for example "maxping 300" to set the maximum ping to 300ms. Setting it via rcon will last until the server is restarted.

Afaik you would just have to up the MaxPing, mine is at 250 or 300 right now because there are a bunch of Brazilian guys that started playing when I first put it up, I want to lower it to like 150 but they wouldn't be able to join then and haven't found any ways to add exceptions.
