Why you should NEVER trust anyone in DayZ

Recommended Posts

A few days ago i made this post:

I have seem to of had a chain of bad luck today,

Whilst minding my own business looting the NW airfield barracks 3 survivors run in and shoot me (somehow my bullets are made of rubber and did nothing), i wasn't to bothered i had only really lost a M4A3 CCO, luckily i had a bus parked near the airfield packed with backup supplies and weapons.

On my journey back to the airfield I happen to find another bus, and it was working HOORAY! I approached Stary Sobor and encounter a survivor laying in the grass, i stop and let him in (instead of crushing him under the wheels of a 8 tonne bus). He was friendly and I agree'd to pick up three of his friends on the way to the airfield, I collected all three not a problem to be reported and get to the airfield easily.

Once we got there I thought I would let them have the bus as I already had one and said I would quickly go to my one and collect some fuel for them and a morphine injector for his friend who had injured himself, on my 5 minute run to my bus I was shot at by two AK-47's which i managed to evade and managed to lose them, however on the way back to the people I was helping I was gunned down unforgiving by a sniper and an AK, the depressing thing is i only had 2 jerry cans and a morphine injector which arn't exactly rare items.

I don't get attached to my gear it annoys me how peope shoot others without thinking about it and I was enjoying helping the other struggeling survivors.

Atleast I still have my bus eh? :)

Well just a few minutes ago I decided to have a drive in my bus to find some crash helicopters and on my way encounter a survivor, suprisingly it was the guy i helped find his friends in another bus i found, well me being me decided to stop and help him, i accidently ran him over because i wasnt sure who it was at first and was being cautious, once i found it was the guy i helped, i gave him morphine and a blood bag, and guess what he did? Shot me with a makarov :c, had to say byebye to my new shiney M107, bus, M4A3 CCO, MP5SD, Bison, M14. As i said in the previous post i don't get attached to my gear as i can always get it back and since guille suits and other camo's should hopefully be coming back tommorrow it's not a bad time to respawn ;D!

Well there's proof that everyone is a bandit deep down. I'm never offering anyone a bus journey again!

I'm a bandit deep down? For saying that you most likely deserve my bullet, but I will still never fire unless fired upon.

You die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

So you wouldn't shoot someone who was looking at you through the scope of an anti-material rifle? Thats what i like to call a threat.

You should change your title to: Why you should NEVER help anyone in Dayz.

If you're really asking, then you were never a good guy... you were JUST a survivor. Nothing more, no hero. So don't come on here with your stories of WHY you turned the other side, because you never chose one. You just chose to survive.

Don't be confused. I would NEVER FIRE UNLESS FIRED UPON.

I disagree here. You die a lot, yes, but trusting folk (when they earn it) is one of the best things about this game. The whole social playground is amazing.

shiney M107, bus, M4A3 CCO, MP5SD, Bison, M14

And you really wonder if someone is greedy enough to shoot you for that?

If I act friendly my good guns are in my backpack (not the coyote one ofc ;) ).

Yeh i was stupid for risking the bus really, i wanted to try and find some crash heli's since i wanted a pair of NVG's or something with a thermal.

How often do you see a survivor pull over in a bus they earned on their own to help another? I admit i'm no hero but I do more than alot of other people do. Also i didn't start this thread to cause an argument.

Your control group is wrong. You need to test your theory on a number of people you have not RUN OVER WITH A BUS...

I used to tell myself I'll never kill anyone unless they shoot at me... but people shoot so quickly now I just shoot people cuz they might find me, either now or later... Ill always be friendly if i say im friendly over direct command, but if theres no dialogue, my gun has to speak for me. (that was corny)

don't know why you would just keep a bus, seems to me like the only reason to have them is to drive around cherno and elktro playing music on direct ad gavin a blast :)

After running back to Stary i found my bus stuck in a ditch still in working order! The backstabber must of only been interested in my M107 since everything else is still there, the bus has now been moved back to its "Top Secret" location and I have learned from my mistakes! Maybe it was karma?

You indirectly insulted all of us who are STILL on the good side of things. The people who STILL have yet to fire unless fired upon. People like me who have dedicated their time in this game, doing the good and nice and benevolent things.

Long live the survivors who wish to see peace and love .

I'd have probably shot you, too, just on principle.

Or "short live" as is it is more likely to be.
