Is it against the rules?

Something has been confusing me, and before I'd get a server I need to know something: If me and my friends were to make a video about the mod, guides, movies etc. is it against the rules to lock the server while recording? even if it's limited time, like an hour or two?

Yes it is against the rules. How is it fair to everyone else? I'm not accusing you of anything, just saying it's too easy to lock it and farm.

At no time can you lock your server to keep others out.

My advice would be to record the video at times other than peak usage. Then again, random encounters may liven up your video more, too.

I don't want to see a video without contact with other random survivors. It might have been watchable back in April/June, but not now.

Well I cant wait for the competitors to come up with game like DayZ with a greater gameplay, DayZ really doesnt offer as much as it should.

Save your money, don't get a server. Plenty of Youtube videos on DayZ already. Getting to be like the stupid Fred videos my daughters used to watch....
