Logging in Losing Items

So this happens all the time to me. I will play for a while, collect some food guns supplies etc. Then I will log out. I will log in later and boom for some reason I lost all of my gear and it gives me the gear you start out with (bandage, flashlight, etc.). Why is this? I spawn in the same location as I logged out and my food/water levels and blood count is the same. Can a mod or admin help me?

Few factors, but it mostly sounds like you are playing on "unofficial" servers where they save character data locally rather than "official" servers that connect to the HIVE.

So, server A, the one you spawn a character on, is locally saved. You play and play, then log out. You then log onto server B which is a HIVE connected server. You have now actually made a Day Z character that's recognized by the devs. Hence, all the gear disappearing.

Possible, but he could have the same bug as me... I'm the same way, except i'm stuck with gear that I had previously. I can play, logout somewhere with new items, but when I connect to another server or log back into the same server I have the items that I originally had and not the ones i've just picked up.

From what I gathered, (Not sure if any of this is true) but, it's due to your character being corrupted. and it's actually happening to quite a few people if you dig through the forums.

Also, I am playing on servers connected to the hive, he probably is as well.
