Bandit System

When setting up the bandit system I think you should only get points for turning into a bandit if you are killing players that are not bandits. If you kill a bandit you get Hero points, and maybe use that for something to label you as a player that is Hero.

They should just simply take out the discrimination in the first place. The only people who complain about bandits are folks who perform terrible fieldcraft in the first place. You never see bandits complain about bandits.

if what you are trying to do here is lable good people from bad people with icons there is an easier way to do it.

"Bandit kills : xxx"

Bandits get ghillie suits, Bandit killers get kevlar vests that add bullet-proof protection.

how would this make dayZ any better?

someone tries to kill you, but doesnt land a shot on you or just chases you with an axe

you kill him: congrats you are now a bandit with a freakin trget above your head

the game cant comprehend situations like these, so putting something like this in wouldnt grant you protection from bandits or show if a player is good

if someone is playing as bandit and happens to kill only other bandits while sniping or something, he is not marked a bandit, but still has the intention to kill everyone

this system would have more holes than fixes

Well, it would be a bit hypocritical to complain about getting shot on sight while unarmed when you sit on top of buildings and snipe unarmed people.
