gt540m fps issue

Recommended Posts

hi.

So, yeah, just bought dayz and tried it out. It lags horribly. I get only around 15 to 19 fps, although, canyourunit showed, that it should run smoothly. PC specs - VGA gt540m, CPU i5-2410M. So, did I just wasted those 15 euros ? x)

You bought ARMA II and OA... not dayz... It might be server side issues that gives you lag. Also DayZ is in Alpha, so there is some errors here and there that pisses on the performance. ARMA is pretty CPU heavy though. So lower your settings etc..

First off, go to control panel -> power options, make sure when you play games you play with the powercord plugged inn and set poweroptions to "High Performance". That will solve the issue if the gfx will throtle down due to power saving feature.

Second, start the game with the medium settings, test game from there, fiddle with the options until you get a desent framerate (ill guess you can manage around 20-35 fps with that setup on 1366x768 res) make 3dres the same as youre ingame resolution. Posteffect and hdr off.

It was the first thing that I checked. No effect...

tried various settings. Even on low (AA low, posteffect and hdr off) it's laggy :(
