Trying to get the Chernarus to load

Recommended Posts

I been racking my brains for days trying to understand the file structure with Arma2 and the DayzMod... I need some assistance from anyone willing to help with this as I have everything downloaded followed the guide to the file structure and still Chernarus refuses to load...

I created a bat file

@arma2oaserver.exe -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\expansion;ca;@dayz;@hive -name=cfgdayz -config=cfgdayz\server_specialcode.cfg -cfg=cfgdayz\arma2.cfg -profiles=cfgdayz -ip=208.86.251.31 -port=2302 -world=Chernarus -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=1

Is there supposed to be a World folder?

the file structure is a real mess... a maze...well. I give you a solution:

if -profile=a and -name=n then the server will search for <arma2oafolder>\a\Users\n\n.ArmA2OAProfile

The -cfg and -config files are relative to <arma2oafolder

And that's it.

C:\something\arma2oa\Expansion\beta\arma2oaserver.exe -mod=EXPANSION\beta;EXPANSION\beta\Expansion;EXPANSION;ca;@dayz;@hive -port=2302 -name=cfgdayz -config=cfgdayz\server.cfg -cfg=cfgdayz\arma2.cfg -profiles=cfgdayz -world=Chernarus -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=1

I haven't properly looked over your launch parameters because I'm currently falling asleep but I'm pretty sure you're missing something.Unless it's changed, you cannot specify an IP address with which to bind the server to. ArmA2 server defaults to the primary ip address of the server and cannot be changed. If you wish to setup multiple instances of ArmA2 server on the same server it is only possible by specifying alternative ports with -port.

Hate to ask, but you do have Combined operations right? (aka Arma 2 merged into your Arma 2 operation arrowhead). And no, there is no "world" folder. The data for it is all over the place which you don't need to worry about. If you can give as much information as possible, will try to help you when It's morning for me if no one else helps :P

That's been changed for along time, like 1.59 since you could bind IP

Your saying you have to combine both together or are you asking if I combined them both? I did not combined anything...

I was referring to using the Six Launcher...

Sod Six launcher.

Assuming you installed from Steam or via CD, just copy over your Addons folder from the arma 2 folder over to arma 2 operation arrowhead.
