Problems with an alternate account.

I recently acquired a second copy of ARMA 2: Combined Operations from a buddy on steam and put it on an alternate steam account to play with him and some others. But for some reason, when I played on it, and went back to my main later, it deleted my main. Now both accounts share the same characters though each have different CD Keys.

When I ran the game for the first time on the second account, my friend informed me to run ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead to ensure it recognized that it was a different key as well. So what I'm wondering is how I can fix this so that I can play with both my squad and my other friends.

Nevermind for me, the latest ARMA 2 update seems to have fixed it.

Isn't the Game link to game keys installed in the registry???
