I bought Arma 2 combined operations on steam the other day, and played for a while, waiting for my friends to download. Then later in the day I went to my buddies house and logged into steam to play some on his laptop, and came home later the next day. Now every time I try to log into DayZ I get spawned on his character! I tried googling and searching forums, but have found nothing of the sorts, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I tried the same thing with a friend of mine.

Did you download the game on both computers as your steam account?

If yes, it downloads the same CD key... so you use the same guy. Didn't work for me either :(

Also, you will find that if you both try to play, whoever connects second will get a "CD Key Already In Use" message.

1. Turn off Steam

2. Run "regedit" (win7: press Start, type "regedit" into search and press enter)

3. Go to:

(for 64 bit windows) HKEY_LOCAL_MASHINE>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node

(for 32 bit windows) HKEY_LOCAL_MASHINE>SOFTWARE

4. Find and delete both "Bohemia Interactive" and "Bohemia Interactive Studio"

5. Run Steam

6. Run the game.

7. ????

8. Profit
