How do I Alt+F4?

This seems like a tragically noob question, but how do I do it? When I try, the squad commands menu pops up and the game doesn't close. Do I have to be playing the game in windowed mode or something?

Now I know some of you are jumping to conclusions based on the thread title, but hear me out. I got killed this morning by some invisible high-voice hacking d-bag. I could hear him shooting right next to me, I could see the puffs of smoke from his gun, but he was invisible and pissing himself with laughter on the mic.

Now I'm completely against combat DC, but I'm even more against giving any kind of satisfaction to these little hack kiddies. I could have gotten away Scott Free with an alt+F4 , and I was too busy zig-zagging to esc-abort. However, he finally plugged me with his 1911 and I lost a promising start. Help.

Most good servers changed Alt-F4 to open the commands menu so people couldn't use it to combat DC.

Either esc-abort, or throw your computer out the window.

I agree with that. But frankly I think at this point it's common knowlegde anyway. Even OP knew how to alt-f4, what he didn't know was that some servers apparently prohibit this. IMO this knowlegde doesn't help the "glitchers" or exploiters or what you call these people.

most servers can stop it from happening, just did it 3 times on diffrent servers and couldnt do it, it was blocked.

Fair point, but as other people are saying, Alt+F4 doesn't even work anymore, so moot point right?

Hackers gonna hack, DC'ers gonna DC, honest players gonna play honest. However, as honest players, if and when we meet a hacker, I see no reason why we shouldn't all know how to DC quickly. It's our only line of defense against the cancer. Be it invisible players, teleportation, wall hacks, A-10's, etc., we bear no fair-play requirement to stay and get murdered for these kids to get their rocks off being little shits.
