disappearing loot? broken legs? VOODOO MAGIC!?

So... first... I'm not crying... I'm long over the idea of becoming attached to loot... especially when you looted it from a tent. Easy come, easy go.

So here's the story: find a tent outside of balota... L85 AWS. So I takes. At least I left him with my Enfield. :)

Anyway... I'm loving it... thermal is the win... play around for another few hours with some friends, move from server to server trying to escape de-sync issues... play some more... then log out in the middle of the forest, far away from any major routes or zombie spawns.

I come back today and.... no L85. no primary weapon. I'm at the right SPOT, and I've got all my OTHER loot... Including some other items I pilfered from that same tent (morphine, etc).

but no L85 with fancy thermal/night vision scope :(

Okay... so in a mild panic, I quickly log out and try another server, hoping that it's a fluke...

after a few minutes of "loading", BAM, I'm back at the right spot in the forest, except now I have NO loot (except for my tools and my now empty czech backpack), and my legs are broken for no reason. wtf.

I panic-log again... find another random server... and I've got everything but the L85 back... but my legs are still broken... I've got morphine, so whatever... my question is still... wtf is going on?

any ideas?

Eh that didn't happen to me... I got teleported to debug tundra with no look and broken legs. I logged out and downgraded beta patch versions and relogged. I spawned with all my stuff on the coast.. So I made my way back north. So far its happened twice and i think it only happened when i joined a server with the wrong beta version.

yeah... other than like, voodoo hacker blood magic, I was figuring it was "you didn't check to make sure it was the right beta" or something like that...

This same exact thing happened to me a few minutes ago.

I was on a Quebec server, prone on the second floor of a barn waiting for a respawn before moving out.

All of a sudden around 20 people died on the server, my screen got jostled (shook up and down) and then my legs broke. I also noticed my bare hands, so I checked inventory to see where my hatchet went and it was gone along with most of my inventory.

I tried logging out and logging into another server, found my inventory intact on the new server but legs still broken.

And I don't have morphine, so I'm really screwed.

Your legs broke because you logged into something that broke them. Just a coincidence.

The loot didn't show up in that one server because it wasn't on the hive. Probably blacklisted or a private server.

The AWS might be missing because it was hacked in or you joined a server with the patch that eats L85s.

I think you need to pay more attention to the servers you join and make sure you are joining a server with a recent patch.
