Strange things happening

Hey dudes,

some strange things are happening to me and/or my server. Everytime I launch or restart my server I cant see my own server in the server list. I dont know why and how cuz it is even happening with filters on default. Right at the moment a random guy is joining ther server I can join in and play. If I try to connect via IP I'm stuck at waiting for host or joining game. Has anyone here an idea what may be the reason?

Well the server will time out for a moment during a mission load/change. That may be why you get stuck.

Have you checked to see that there aren't any stale arma processes in the background?

I would ask you to check ports (2302-2309ish), but it sounds like people are getting in. Are you refreshing your server list, sometimes it takes a few refreshes/sorts to find your server.

Also in your server config, is your reporting IP line set to this:

reportingIP = "arma2oapc.master.gamespy.com";

Make sure there is no // in front, that means it's commented out.

Also check the firewall on your client side.

Followed all your points, no success, now even my mates cant find the server, and it still says waiting for host if I connect via IP. Any other tips? Or is anyone open for a lill IRC or TS help session :P.

Never fear, Mojo's here. Hop on my TeamSpeak at ts3.monolithservers.com, give me a poke, and I'll move you to the admin channel. We'll see what we can't do to get your server up and running.

Allmighty Mojo made things run like they are supposed to be and even more :P . Thanks alot for your fast help and additional advises, you are one of the good guys, I owe you one.

P.S If you have the same issues I had, check out if you deleted your server config by accident :D.
