I posted this in the hotfix update. I think it more appropiate here.

How about removing the 3 second location pop up when you spawn? If the point is washing up on the shore and not knowing where you are, this becomes sort of pointless.

I would like to see...

Day 1

Time: Noon / Midday / Dusk

Health: Random effects? Maybe you lost blood, hungry, thirsty or cold. Can give you a first objective?

Call me crazy but I like the not knowing anything and the fear that can incoporate. Also it gets you to really know the map.

Maybe this could be removed for the harder level servers, if people are just starting out on the regular server I would prefer this to stay for them.

Yeah, something like this would be nice for the more hardcore servers like other posters have said. It would be best on there as if were on every server, new players would have a hard time figuring out where they are as everything would look the same for them.
