What is the different bettwen Survivior and Bandit? [NEW]

What is the different bettwen Survivior and Bandit? im new so I dont know that much so please explain me that and if you want ill be happy if you explain the basics about DAYZ and what server I can join when I have European time :)

A survivor survives by helping themselves and possibly others.

A bandit kills people for their equipment.

A ganker kills new players for the hell of it.

Survivor is a friendly person who will typically assist other players if they need help.

You can do what you want. There really isn't any difference in the game, it's more about how you play your character.

If you want to "survive" from Zombies AND Bandits-you MUST kill them both. Essentially making you a Bandit whether you wanted to or not. If you kill anyone are you not going to take their loot...sure maybe that 1 guy-now he's dead...

Ideally, as others have said, survivors don't kill others for gear. Bandits do however. Then there are people who do it just because they think it is fun, and there are far too many of those people playing the game.

I don't like to do stuff that doesn't make sense, but even I have started protecting myself by killing others players around me.. thus, becoming a sort of bandit myself.

Rocket refuses to add any systems into the game that alters a players playstyle. I guess he enjoys the deathmatch arena that his game has become. And if you think about it, his unwillingness to give some sort of repercussion for mindless killing is altering my playstyle. His decision is having the opposite of the desired effect. I like to be helpful, I don't like to shoot first, I enjoy some teamwork, but the way this game is structured, I'm being forced to play in a way that I would rather not.

A Bandit is a player who kills you and loots your equipment.

A Survivor is a player who kills you and loots your equipment and feels bad about it. :D

Or

A Bandit is a player who kills you when they have equipment that is better than yours.

A Survivor is a player who kills you when you have equipment that is better than theirs. :P
