Why would anyone disable direct communication?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to understand why anyone would want to disable direct communication. Does the direct communication feature put an extra strain on a server?

IMO direct communication is a very important part of the game.

FRIENDLIES IN CHERNO?

They plan on adding it back in but you need to find an item to use it, perhaps a radio.

I miss it too but having people scream down the mic did get boring.

Direct communication, not global communication (or sidechat).

Some servers actually disable direct comms. It should be mandatory on in this game.

Absolutely no idea. Makes little sense to me either. What server had it disabled? As far as I'm aware editing your missions files is forbidden (And it's not been removed by Rocket as far as I know), otherwise I'd probably re-enable Global till they added in radios, but that's just me.

Voice com for direct is part of the server config tool, not the mission file (that's for side chat).

Config tool allows voice on or off selections.
